Responsibilities:

  1. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
  2. Gather and empty trash.
  3. Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
  4. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
  5. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.

Executive Director

The Executive Director will provide direction and leadership towards the achievement of the vision, mission and strategy of Al-Furqaan Foundation for its Quran Project division. The Executive Director in responsible for the day to day operations of the Quran Project, by leading and supervising, hiring and evaluating all staff, motivating and directing volunteers, managing the divisions finances and resources, building relationships and networks across organizations in the U.S. The Executive Director will be the main public spokesperson for the Quran Project, and therefore must have an impeccable religious background and a commanding presence. The candidate must be highly dynamic, religious, personable and very strongly familiar with the diverse cross section of the Muslim American community. The position calls for effective public speaking skills, including delivering Khutbas in masajid around the country, and excellent communication abilities. The position is a highly public, high profile position and the Executive Director should be comfortable working at a national level. The Executive Director will serve as the “face” of the Quran project nationally, managing direct reports from regional offices around the U.S and Canada. The position reports directly to the President of Al-Furqaan Foundation. The Executive Director also serves on the Executive Committee of the Al-Furqaan Foundation. The primarily place of business will be in Bolingbrook, IL.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide leadership and management to assure the proper implementation of the vision and strategy of the nationwide Quran Project
  2. Ensure that the Quran Project Division is professionally run, self-sufficient properly staffed around the country and is financially secure
  3. Represent the Quran Project nationally at events, conventions, Jummah kutba’s and other speaking engagements
  4. Direct the implementations and evaluation of the many programs and plans that range from fundraising to distribution of the Qurans, to dawah programs, new Muslim support, education programs and other programs and services
  5. Manage budgeting, and all financial and human resources
  6. Develop and implement policies and procedures for all operations including regional offices
  7. Recruit, lead, supervise and evaluate staff

 

Fundraising and Financial Management:

  1. Create and implement financial development campaigns and strategies and cultivate and develop new sources of funding to support the Quran Project activities across the U.S.
  2. Develop materials, staff and resources to increase the donor base and grow contributions from individuals, organizations, Masajid, businesses and foundations
  3. Oversee fundraising planning, implementation, and administration of fund disbursements to programs and services
  4. Develop yearly budget for board approval and manage diligently
  5. Develop and ensure proper implementation of contact management and donor management systems
  6. Develop and manage events in cities across the country to meet fundraising targets and goals

 

Dawah, Outreach and Partners:

  1. Represent and promote a positive image of the Quran Project and Al-Furqaan Foundation to donors, organizations, masajid, communities and government agencies
  2. Build and serve on coalitions around the country on Dawah, outreach and issues on common grounds with other faith communities
  3. Community organizing and program coordination to achieve dawah objectives like street dawah with Quran
  4. Ensure that The Quran Project is the “Quran” component of any dawah/outreach programs of masajid and organizations around the country
  5. Develop, manage and implement all Quran distribution programs including door to door, hotels, hospitals, Jails, bookstores, online etc.
  6. Oversee and work with marketing department on proper marketing and promotions of all the programs and activities of the Quran Project

Desired Qualification:

Regional Manager

Position Type: Full-Time

Al-Furqaan Foundation, a well-known non-profit Islamic organization in North America is looking for Regional Managers to be positioned in the following regions:

Los Angeles, CA (1), Bolingbrook, IL (2), Dallas, TX (1), Atlanta, G.A (1), New-York, NY (1), Mississauga, Canada (1)

 

Job Description:

  1. Be a regular musallee in the masajid in the local area and develop long lasting relationship with the imams and management of the masajid, in line with the foundation’s objectives.
  2. Secure at least six to eight Jumah khutba and fund raising bookings per month at the local and surrounding states masajid, at least one such event for the month of Ramadan and one during any other month of the year from every masjid in the region.
  3. Deliver Jumah Khutbas at the masajid and conduct fundraising activities depending upon Al-Furqaan’s requirements.
  4. Choose Khateebs from the local contacts and make arrangements for their travel etc. to masajid in the region where the khateeb will deliver khutbas and conduct fundraising activities while the Regional Manager will be doing the same at another musjid on any given Friday.
  5. Conscientiously and consistently, transfer the collected funds to the foundation bank account immediately after each event and keep the accounts department abreast with the expenses and revenue situations on weekly basis.
  6. Coordinate with the Fund Raising Director on daily basis and keep his office abreast by weekly reports.
  7. Be available for any important Islamic convention in the region and participate to secure the foundation objectives and meet the targets on regular basis.
  8. Keep the foundation abreast with the fund raising activities of other organizations in the region and continue to protect the interest of Al-Furqaan Foundation in the community.

Those finally selected for the job will be given the required training at the foundation’s corporate office in Bolingbrook, IL and will be compensated with a salary package depending upon experience and career growth. The selected candidate will be required to have a car and driving license in good standing. He will be required to work from home, which is why in-house office will be necessary. Vice-Principal

Position Type: Full-Time

VP will work directly under the principal and help coordinate, direct and plan the academic or auxiliary activities of the school, will manage the teachers, counselors, staff and students on a daily basis. Master’s degree in educational leadership, education administration or a similar field with significant experience is required.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Working closely with the principal on a daily basis to ensure the smooth overall operation of the school.
  2. Supporting committees of staff and parent that function to improve the learning and social environment of the school for the students.
  3. Teaching classes, developing rapport with the students, handling discipline issues and filling in for the principal when required.
  4. Resolving conflicts between students, teachers, parents or combinations of conflicts between various individuals.
  5. Assisting in yearly teacher evaluations, assisting in providing guidance to staff and students, and encouraging a positive climate in the school.

Development Manager

The Development Manager is responsible for leading the institution and franchise advancement program and reports to the Executive Director of Furqaan Academy. The Manager will also be responsible for developing and maintaining active and productive relationships with board members, donors and administration at various school locations.

Specific areas of responsibility across all franchise schools includes:

 

Fundraising:

  1. Designs, implements and manages all fundraising activities including annual giving, endowment and capital campaigns, special projects, and other school-related solicitations.
  2. Manages all strategies and activities for donor cultivation, solicitation, and relations.
  3. Maintains contact with and develops grant proposals for foundations and corporations.
  4. Develops and implements parent and class-based fundraising programs within the Annual Fund.
  5. Develops a comprehensive planned-giving program as the need becomes appropriate.
  6. Develops and implements social media / crowd sourcing programs to enhance fundraising.

 

Board Relations:

  1. Works with the Development Committee of the Board, Executive Director and the Principal to develop strategies to initiate and meet aggressive fundraising goals.
  2. Develops fundraising training for board and other leadership volunteers.
  3. Assumes responsibility for all Development reports to the Board and other agencies, and attends Board meetings/Executive meetings as needed.
  4. Assists the Board with recommending and researching potential new donors/supporters.

 

Development Office Infrastructure:

  1. Creates office systems to support all Development projects and operations.
  2. Supervises donor and gift record-keeping.
  3. Coordinates development research activities.
  4. Oversees the management of databases and all records, files, and gift processing.
  5. Manages the pledge reminder and acknowledgement programs.

 

Parent Relations:

Public Relations, Marketing, and Advertising:

  1. Works closely with each schools administration and the Principals to develop public relations plan and an advertising plan.
  2. Designs and oversees production of all major publications, including the newsletter, the Annual Report, the School’s website, and working with designers and printers to promote the school’s fund and fundraising goals and activities.
  3. Creates and implements a communication and promotional plan for the Capital Campaign.
  4. Develops and implements strategies to promote school’s mission to both the internal constituencies of the School and the community at large.

 

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 2 years professional fundraising experience, preferably in Islamic environment.

Responsible for the operation and instructional leadership at school. Trains and supervises staff, sets instructional objectives, and works to build a rapport with parents.

  1. Teaching students to read Quran with proper Tajweed
  2. Helping students memorize Surahs
  3. Developing a positive relationship with the students within the Islamic guidelines
  4. Evaluate each student and create teaching strategies based on the individual’s pace
  5. Tracking progress of each child and maintaining records.
  6. Must be able to teach all ages (children, adults)
  7. Must be punctual to all sessions.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Must have knowledge of Makharij and tajweed and be able to teach the students.
